Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Its busy capital, Phnom Penh, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum's historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country's northwest lie ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.

The Ministry of Tourism offers a unique overview of the international tourist arrivals to Cambodia and short-term tourism trends. It is developed by Statistics and ICT Department, Ministry of Tourism with the aim to provide all those directly or indirectly involved in tourism with adequate up-to-date tourism statistics and analysis in a timely fashion. Each issue contains five regular sections: an overview short-term tourism trends including data on tourism highlights, international tourist arrivals, country of residence, tourism receipts and expenditure for over 20 international border check points to Cambodia and data on purpose of visit on major rules; a retrospective and prospective evaluation of current tourism performance by the 24 provinces and capital in Cambodia; and selected economic data relevant for tourism.
